9-27-24   THOUGHTS

Some eternal caution for our minds this morning.  It comes from Jesus in a sermon.  Our approach to life, our perspective of things, our focus and priority as we live...  THIS IS LIFE AND ETERNITY!   Prov 23:7  “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.”   Matt 6:22 below is powerful...  “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.”  The “TWO MASTERS” problem  is so human it hurts.  Each of us battles this daily. We must take care to guard what the EYE  FEEDS THE HEART!   We need to immerse ourselves in GOD!  Read and study His Word, meditate on it, pray always, make sure you actively contribute to a loving fellowship!  Try to out give God... I smile as I type that.
Mark 12:29-31   Jesus answered, "The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31  The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these."

Matt 6:19-24    "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  20  "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;  21  for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  22  "The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.  23  "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!  24  "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

My Prayer:
O God, help us to be about Your business and not ours.  Teach us to see that the  “ALL” of love cannot be compromised.  May our hearts and lives be solely fixed on eternal ways.  Teach us to judge ourselves rightly as we examine ourselves.  Then  Father, may we see the joy and blessings of living for You.  Help us to serve You as our one Master, and rejoice that we have chosen the Right.  Teach us to help each other in this eternal process.
In the name of Jesus,        Amen.
